April Hannah, artist and designer working in Brooklyn, received her MFA from the School of Visual Arts. In December 2010, Hannah was awarded a residency at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD Museum) in New York City, where she designed and produced functional, sculptural objects through March of 2011. Inspired by the networks, patterns and processes of nature her pieces exhibit a modern, simple yet sophisticated, playful aesthetic that engage both children and adults. Her eponymous furniture line uses durable, environmentally sustainable materials and non-toxic coatings. This Mountain Screen, handcrafted in Pennsylvania from three-quarter inch, FSC certified, formaldehyde-free MDF and water-based non toxic white lacquer and clear coat finishes would complement any space.
This Branch Lounge is also handcrafted in Pennsylvania from substantial one-inch, walnut veneered, FSC certified, formaldehyde-free plywood that uses a soy-based glue; and water-based, non-toxic finish.
