Founded by designer Sarah Ratty, Ciel is a UK-based environmentally conscious fashion label worn by everyone from Cate Blanchett to Sienna Miller. Her green fashion career started in the early Nineties when she began rescuing cable-knit sweaters from Oxfam and reworking them into cutting-edge streetwear. Ratty has not gone far from these roots, now sourcing Alpaca from Peru to produce great chunky knits like this Fringed Ski Sweater Dress, a hand knitted ski-style sweater dress with deep fringed hem – 100% baby Alpaca. Regular £350, now £210 (40% OFF applied at checkout until end Jan 2010).

Ciel clothes are produced in fair labour factories, using only Azo free (non-toxic) dyes, using organic natural fabrics or recycled man-made fabrics. We love these Black Satin Jeans skin fit straight leg jeans – available in shiny black or gold. Made in Organic hemp silk (60% hemp, 40% silk). £138. Ships everywhere. Can’t wait to see what she sends down the runway at Geneva’s EcoChic Fashion Show (now only 4 days away!)
