Valerie’s Conscious Guide to Munich
So Ham is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Munich and you can find it in the beautiful backyard next to the Jivamukti Yoga Loft. The delicious food is prepared in the open kitchen of the colorful and beautifully decorated restaurant by the sweetest girls you can imagine. It is all about Yoga and feeling good – Soul Food. The all vegan food is cooked with so much heart. Highlight is definitely the Yoga Plate, a mix of baked vegetables, raw vegetables, salads, rice and Hummus – So Yum.
So Ham, Buttermelchstrasse 11, 80469 Munich | Monday – Friday 10am – 9.30pm

Fancy a coffee break? Walking around in Munich might be tough since there are so many great things to discover. So let’s get here to forget about time with coffee and books. Or bring your laptop to get some work done. Lost Weekend is not only an all vegan coffee shop but also a bookshop at the same time located in the university. The coffee is really good and you can choose from all the dairy free milks you can think of. They serve vegan croissants, cakes, sandwiches and salads. While drinking your coffee you will forget about time, checking out their great selection of books. In the evening they have concerts, debates or readings. Let’s all get lost together.

Ice Date is the vegan ice cream shop in Munich. But their ice cream is not only vegan, but also soy free, gluten free, sugar free and organic. Instead of milk they are using cashew nuts, instead of sugar, dates and real fruits instead of flavoring. So it is basically healthy ice cream. They have a wide selection of different flavors, which you either get in a cone or a fully recyclable carton. Going to an ice cream shop on a date night is a pretty good idea, isn’t it?
Ice Date, Amalienstrasse 91, 80799 Munich | Monday – Sunday 12am – 10pm

Sooo delicious California style breakfast and lunch. LAX Eatery, the name is probably inspired by the Airport in Los Angeles, is a must go if you are around. They might serve the best breakfast and brunch in Munich with the nicest people working there. Fresh, organic, local products and some friends even say, that they have the best coffee in town. Wellness atmosphere, all vegan or vegetarian and located in Schwabing, the former Hippie district of the Bavarian capital. Guess I lost my heart in California … again.
Lax Eatery, Neureutherstrasse 1, 80799 Munich | Tuesday – Friday 9am – 5pm Saturday – Sunday 9.30am – 5pm
