Friday is guy day – M. Shallenberger
We featured artist and bag maker Matt Shallenberger’s gorgeous bags of re-purposed canvas back in early 2010 when he had a few products suited for women. Truth be told, he loves to design for men and has only a few pieces of that vintage canvas left. This apron will bring style to your efforts in the kitchen, in the shop or at the BBQ. Made from 10 oz. American waxed canvas and vintage (1955) American military deadstock twill tape. Chest pocket, hip pocket, long waist straps (can be double wrapped around the front) and adjustable neck strap with hidden brass buckle. The brass grommets at neck and pocket, a typical Shallenberger touch, allow for headphone cord to be safely run inside apron. $100USD.
This shoulder duffle, made from vintage swedish military canvashas adjustable shoulder strap made from vintage leather rifle sling/hardware and a cinch closure at top. $135 USD. Ships everywhere. These are the last vintage canvas pieces from Shallenberger as he turns his attention in a new direction: Field Theories, an ongoing project in design and craft.
