Straight from NYC, a new brand that takes Dad’s button down shirts from the office to the playground. KaLLio is a kidswear label dedicated to designing easy modern clothing through sustainable practices. Catering to boys and girls ages 2 to 8, KaLLio the brainchild of designer Karina Kallio, who, after  ten years of living and working around the world as a fashion designer and creative director for mainstream fashion retail companies,  felt a need to start a brand closer to home that created  functional and beautiful kids wear.

Focused on utilizing only local resources and the skills and talents of local crafts people, KaLLio’s  first collection remakes Dad’s button down shirts, via some genius cutting and sewing, creating cute, comfortable and remarkably sophisticated children’s wear. Collars are removed, sleeves become trousers and bloomers, mismatched fabrics are fused together, and the shirts are given new life as one-of-a-kind designs. Boys’s hooded shirts come in various sizes and colours, $78 USD.

Girl’s shirt dresses, like everything in the collection, are made from 100% Reclaimed Cotton Shirting, start at $78 USD. Ships everywhere.
