Architect by training, painter by passion, Ilaria Sadun got her inspiration for Metamorphosi after travelling in Latin America during the early nineties. For two years she volunteered in Nicaragua on a project that helped local artisans effectively market their own art and develop opportunities for environment-friendly public recreation in their outdoor areas. The idea for using previously used glass as an artistic medium came from a woman, who recycled used bottles to make useful homeware, a fifty-year family tradition that had been taught to her by her father. Recycled green glass and green mother of pearl, stainless still wire and cotton thread make this necklace perfect for candle light dinners out in the garden. It will make you feel like a nature goddess! $62 USD. Buy from Etsy, ships everywhere.
