The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) U.K. Foundation,  luxury vegan shoe brand Bourgeois Boheme and teen model Anaïs Gallagher (daughter of former Oasis frontman Noel) have teamed up to launch a vegan footwear design competition.

The competition offers aspiring designers the chance to be the creative force behind a new animal-free unisex sneaker – and help shape the future of cruelty-free footwear. Entrants can upload their designs to PETA.org.uk until 7 March, when Bourgeois Boheme will shortlist the top 10. Anaïs Gallagher will then choose the winning design, which will go into production and hit the market in time for Autumn/Winter 2016. Bourgeois Boheme shoes have been spotted on notable vegan stars such as Natalie Portman, Bryan Adams and Mayim Bialik.
