Noorin Khamisani was born and raised in London, where she graduated with a first class honours degree in Fashion Design. Upon graduation she worked with designers such as Ann-Sofie Back, Jessica Ogden and Susan Cianciolo in New York. Working with these avant-garde labels, which incorporated recycled garments/vintage fabrics had a huge and lasting influence on Noorin’s aesthetic. After several years of researching sustainable fabrics and not being able to find ethically produced garments, Noorin was inspired to start Outsider; a fashion label which believes style and quality should be equally important as ethical sourcing and production. Noorin explains “I have always been interested in garments which have a timeless quality, so I have this in mind when I design. I want Outsider to be almost lost in time.” Like this Victory Dress in Organic Cotton Denim with Peace Silk Trim. A structured bodice and pleat detail skirt update this summer classic into a party dress that is still casual enough for the daytime. Made from lightweight organic cotton denim, fully lined and polka-dot peace silk under collar. £150.00.

This Fitted Shirt Dress in Organic Cotton Sateen is a versatile dress with cute pin-tucked sleeves and a bow-tie belt that provide a playful contrast with the crisp collar and straight skirt. Fastens up the front with mother of pearl buttons and an ‘inbuilt’ belt. £115.00. Ships everywhere.
