Reclaim To Wear – wearable waste

Tomorrow (June 15) marks the launch of the highly anticipated Reclaim To Wear collaboration with Topshop. The concept of Reclaim To Wear; a design solution to an environmental challenge was first introduced by From Somewhere, the pioneering eco fashion label started in 1997 by Orsola de Castro and Filippo Ricci (remember their stunning upcycled Speedo creations in 2011). The goal of Reclaim to Wear is to design beautiful clothes made entirely from discarded materials and remnants, such as stock, designer surplus and production off-cuts.

This collaboration with Topshop introduces an upcycled capsule collection made entirely from discarded materials, such as surplus stock or production off-cuts, and also sets in place a blueprint that will hopefully allow Topshop to scale this project and apply the learning across a broader section of the supply chain, for  future collections.
