Felting is Lithuanian artist Vilte Kazlauskaite‘s passion. So much so that she published a book, Veltinis (Felt) in 2008, that was the first book in Lithuania covering this textile art. Vilte works with various kinds of wool and other natural fibers and always prefers organic, sustainable materials for her felted items. The Raw wool that she uses comes from small scale shepherds who love and care for their sheep and her Nuno felting techniques combine wool and fabric in felt and working with raw fleece. This White Peony OOAK dress is from natural silk gauze and silk ponge in natural white; organic textures from silk cocoons and softest merino wool (as thin as cashmere!) – is a piece of wearable textile art. Unique and one of a kind. $379 USD, from Etsy.
